It’s not uncommon for property owners to wonder why wildlife is intruding. The answer is almost always the same — your property offers them food, water, or shelter. The first step in any wildlife situation is a professional evaluation by one of our technicians. This includes the proper identification of the animal(s) in question, where they are gaining entry (if applicable), and the proper treatment method for solving your particular problem.

We have over 45 years of experience conducting safe removal of the following types of wildlife:

  • Bats
  • Birds
  • Pigeons
  • Squirrels
  • Raccoons
  • Skunks
  • Opossums
  • Groundhogs
  • Moles
  • Voles
  • Snakes
  • Chipmunks
  • And more!

Our Wildlife Exclusion Methods

Pest Control Technicians utilizes Integrated Pest Management techniques to offer humane pest control solutions. This removal method includes one-way doors, which allow wildlife to exit your home and not re-enter. After approximately two weeks, we return to remove the one-way door and seal off the door to prevent future infestations.

We have many options for wildlife removal and exclusion, plus we will repair whatever the animal may have damaged. We want to make sure others can’t enter the same way!

In order to humanely remove wildlife from your home, we may use additional methods such as:

  • Trapping and release
  • Screen repair
  • Bird spike installation
  • And more!

Raccoon Removal

Raccoons are found in the woodlands and suburban areas of Pennsylvania and across the northeastern area of the United States. Like most wild animals, they’re attracted to sources of food, water, and shelter. You can find them living under porches, in sheds, or even in attics and chimneys.

If you’re facing a raccoon problem, you should take caution and avoid approaching them, as they’re known to carry diseases that can affect people. Our team can humanely trap and remove raccoons and advise you on how to prevent them from coming back.

Squirrel Removal

Squirrels aren’t hard to find in the Montgomery County area. Many homeowners even enjoy watching them scurry about in their backyards. However, squirrels can eventually become a problem if they move into attics and sheds looking for shelter during the winter.

Squirrels tend to nest close to abundant sources of food and water, so if you’re facing an infestation in your home or outbuildings, Pest Control Technicians can conduct safe removal and help advise you on how to make your property less attractive to them.

Bird Removal

Are you plagued with pigeons? Birds can be a welcome addition to your garden, but when pigeons, starlings, or house sparrows decide to nest in your chimney, it can cause a serious fire hazard. Birds nesting in or on your home can also result in staining from bird droppings or damage to your roof, guttering, or soffits.

Whether you’re dealing with native or invasive birds, Pest Control Technicians can help remove them from your home and reduce the chances of their return.

Rat and Mice Removal

Rats and mice are common pests in the northeast, and they cause big problems. From eating and contaminating your food to causing structural damage to your home, there are many reasons to remove rodents from your home quickly. With comprehensive home inspections and commercial building inspections, along with traps, baits, repellants, and more, we have a great record of dealing with mice and rats.

Our FAQs

Have questions? We are here to help. Still have questions or can't find the answer you need? Give us a call at (610) 275-7378 today!

  • How do I get rid of animals in my attic?

Getting rid of animals in your attic requires a careful inspection of all possible entry points, and a removal strategy depending on the type of animal. Squirrels, bats, birds, and even raccoons might find their way into your attic, especially during the colder months in the Northeast.

The technicians at PCT will conduct a thorough inspection of your property and recommend an approach to remove wildlife in your attic in a safe, humane, and environmentally responsible way.

  • Can you get rid of bats?

Bats can roost in smaller spaces than you might imagine, including small crevices in soffit or behind siding on the exterior of your home. While they normally don’t pose a threat to humans, some bats carry communicative diseases, and you should avoid approaching them. Never touch a bat that you’ve found lying on the ground. The team at PCT can inspect your property for entry points and humanely remove bats.

  • Can I get rid of snakes myself?

While snake problems near Philadelphia are relatively uncommon, Pennsylvania is home to at least 3 varieties of venomous snake (the timber rattlesnake, eastern massasauga, and the copperhead). If you encounter a snake on your property take caution by keeping children and pets well away. Consider calling an expert to remove it and inspect your home for hiding spots, nests, or other snakes in the area.

  • Is it bad to have squirrels in my yard?

Many people find squirrels adorable, and while they don’t usually pose a threat just by visiting your backyard, no one wants to be overrun. Squirrels commonly nest in attics and sheds in the colder months, and this can cause serious mess and damage to your home over time. If you’re concerned about your pets or other outdoor wildlife or if you suspect squirrels have come into your home, it’s time to give us a call.
