Each year, termites cost U.S. homeowners over $2.5 billion in damages—destruction that is rarely covered by most home insurance plans! Here at Pest Control Technicians Inc., we’ve been committed to protecting homes, health, and families since 1976. When it comes to termite treatment, our goal is to provide service that will protect our customers from the financial devastation termites cause while using products that are easy on our planet and your loved ones. Our in-ground termite monitoring systems are designed to stop termites before they start, protecting your home and peace mind year-round.
Because they’re a tough pest to beat, not just anyone can provide effective termite control. Here at PCT, our team of state-certified termite exterminators undergoes ongoing field and online training to keep them up-to-date with the latest industry techniques. They are also trained in chemical handling and storage, proper PPE usage, and termite identification to help them provide you the quality service you deserve. Thanks to our environmentally friendly termite treatment, the EPA recognized PCT as a Steward of the Environment by the EPA.
When you partner with us for termite treatment, you can look forward to the following:
Termites come in three primary types: drywood, dampwood, and subterranean. While drywood termites can travel into Philadelphia by attaching themselves to wooden products being shipped into the state (such as furniture or wine crates), the termites most homeowners in our state can expect to encounter are subterranean termites. These termites will begin to swarm between March and May, frequently after warm rain showers. They specifically love damp wood, such as firewood against your home’s foundation, and they can enter your home through the smallest of cracks. Destructive worker subterranean termites are small, cream-colored, have no wings, and are about half the size of a match head.
Termites themselves are hard to identify, so be on the lookout for the following signs of a termite infestation:
Why risk allowing termites to damage your home and empty your savings when you could protect against these destructive pests for around a dollar a day? Here at PCT, we’re so confident that our termite treatment is the right solution for your home that we guarantee it: if you experience termite issues between treatments, all you have to do is let us know to get a free follow-up service. Even better, if we find any termite activity in the monitoring stations during one of our thrice-annual check-ins, we’ll credit 50% of previously paid monitoring feeds (minus installation charges) against the cost of a liquid or bait system treatment plan for your home. We’ve got your back, no matter what.
